The only fertilizer company under state ownership serving in the Northern region today, is the kano Agricultural Supply Company Limited (KASCO).                                

 Located along Maiduguri Road, KASCO became incorporated way back in October, 1981 and began operations early 1982.          

                                            
Owned by the state government for procuring  such Agricultural inputs as irrigation, pumps, milling machine, sprayers, herbicides, animal medication, seeds vegetables and generate revenue.                        

The company later diversified into livestock, poultry, fish and horse feeds as well as other related items produce.           

The prime goal of the company is procurement, distribution and sale of these items at affordable rates to farmers at all rtail outlets in the 44 local government areas in kano and Nigeria in general.                                     

Meanwhile, among others, KASCO has made a turnover of N4,074,426.00 in the year 2019, participated in more than 80% of agricultural corporate seminars/related programs within and outside the country, construction of warehouse st Isiyaka Rabiu Estate to certain Green House Project and has obtained membership of west African fertilizer association.                          

Also, KASCO has procured about 100 Turkey from Jordan for sale to farmers at affordable prices.               

In a nutshell, the company has made many outstanding steps under the able leadership of it’s Managing Director, Comrade Bala Mohammed Inuwa and merits emulation across the region and the entire federation.
