The APC Northwest Zonal Committee has commended the Attorney General of the Federation Mr.  Abubakar Malami  SAN  for his unprecedented performance in the fight against corruption, unwavering respect to the rule of law and unflinching support to democratic ideals especially his role in the most recent Executive Order on the autonomy of the state legislature and judiciary.

the APC Zonal executive committee North West Zone made the commendation on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Attorney General of the federation and Minister of Justice in his office.

, The APC Zonal management committee led by the APC  zonal secretary Alh Tukur Abdul-kadir Gusau.

The committee said the AGF stand against corruption with all mechanism put in place to stamp out corruption in the country is highly  commendable.

The  Zonal Committee, on behalf of the Zonal executive committee explain the purpose of their visit, that,  is to show their support and identify with him being a true son of the region, and his capability to bring the needed turn around to the justice system in line with the vision of the APC’s change Agenda.

They highlighted many achievements of Abubakar Malami as AGF to include his advice to the federal government in the Processing and Industrial Development Limited (P&ID) case were Nigeria would have lost $9.6 billion to dubious characters and proactive and preventive steps in the fight against Sex and Gender-Based Violence.

Amongst the strides Achievements of Abubakar Malami, SAN highlighted by the members of the APC Zonal management committee, North West are

1. Fight Against Corruption

2. Decongestion of Nigerian Correctional Centres

3. Recovery of looted assets

4. Implementation of Criminal Justice Act

5. Implementation of National Correctional Service Reform

6. Speedy litigation of election matters.

7. Enhancement of Access to Justice

8. AGF’S efforts in making Socio-economic Rights justiciable.

9. Contribution in the signing of Executive Orders especially No 10 on Independence of State Legislature and Judiciary

10. Coming out with Post COVID-19 Justice Sector plan, among others.

With tremendous Achievements recorded by the attorney general of the Federation, APC North West Zonal Management Committee on behalf of the APC Zonal executive committee, North passed a vote of confidence on AGF Abubakar Malami, SAN.

while appreciating the members of the committee, Abubakar Malami, SAN stressed that the vote of confidence passed on him would further motivates him to remain steadfast in discharging his duties diligently.

“He used the medium to call for more support from well meaning Nigerians, stressing that “we must all unite together and supports this administration Particularly in the fight against evil called corruption as that is the only way we can ensure, at least the protection of the future of our children and our younger generation.
